Lemon, vinegar, wine, most bathroom and toilet cleaners, and any acidic product will etch the surface permanently, even where the stone has been sealed. Sealing makes the stone more resistant to staining, it does not stop etching and it does not make the stone stain-proof.

Clean with a neutral pH stone cleaner, warm water and a soft cloth or mild dishwashing detergent, then rinse and dry.
