Clean petrified wood with a neutral pH stone cleaner and a soft cloth, and dry the surface after use. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can wear into the natural grain and any resin fill, and avoid acidic products.
We recommend sealing the natural, unpolished surfaces of your basin. Petrified wood varies in porosity from piece to piece, and a sealer helps it resist staining and water marks. Spray'n'seal, the aerosol natural look sealer we stock, is the easiest way to apply it and is designed to protect without changing the look of the stone. Reseal when water stops beading on the surface rather than to a fixed schedule.
