Maintenance and Care
Here are some directions and tips to follow in order to maintain your concrete surface as beautiful as the first day.
We have selected for you the easiest finishes to care for and maintain. Your concrete surface has been treated superficially with a sealing product providing full stain, light impact resistance and making it perfectly waterproof. However, this product will need to be resealed with a stone sealer anywhere between 9 and 14 months depending on usage. A gentle soap with a medium pH, diluted in warm water will remove dirt and keep your finish like new.
Alternatively, you could use a mixture of 30 gr of white vinegar on every 3.8 Lt of warm water. Most household cleaners contain harsh chemicals that could damage the look and protection of the finishing. Ammonia-based glass and floor cleaners are an example of products that contain ingredients that have an adverse effect on the protection of your surface. Avoid using any sort of solvent, acids, cutting or abrasive materials for daily care.
These products may attack the coating and reduce the waterproofness of your sink, and void the warranty at the same time.
It's also recommended not to let hot pots sit on the top, nor pour boiling water on the surface, even though tests have shown that no damage will be done.
Although the surface is certified to resist a large range of cold liquid stains (wine, oil, fruit juices etc), it's recommended to clean any spill, possibly within a few minutes, to avoid potential look damage in the long run.
The coating performs also anti-UV protection. You may experience anyway a slight darkening in colour in time. This is due to the fact that as a natural product, our concrete ages.
