About Underwood and How We Supply It
Underwood takes its name from William Underwood, an early property owner who ran a Commercial Hotel in the area from the early 1870s until 1895. The suburb was named in 1975, when it straddled Brisbane City and the former Shire of Albert, and part of it moved from Brisbane into Logan in 1993. Today it is mainly residential, with the Logan Motorway on its northern edge and Compton Road to the south. The Logan North Library opened on the corner of Sports Drive and Springwood Road in 2008.
